the Oriental Shorthair

Graceful, as if formed from the finest porcelain, this muscular, fine-boned cat is the epitome of elegance.  The structure is based on long, smooth lines.  The large, pointed alert ears continue the flow of  the long wedge-shaped head.  In profile, the skull is long and flat.  The slanted eye opening follows the angle of the wedge. The coat is short, fine textured, glossy, close lying to the body. They come in a virtual rainbow of colors and patterns.  Orientals are affectionate, active and somewhat talkative.
